My Journey: Path, Places, and Professional Growth

My career path started in Stuttgart, transitioning from three semesters of math studies into advertising and communication—the first step toward UX. After earning my Bachelor’s, I started an internship as a Strategic Planner at BBDO, which brought me to Düsseldorf.

I realized my challenge was always balancing my passion for data and structural thinking with my creativity. Switching to UX-Design was the perfect solution, combining both. I joined sum.cumo (now Sapiens Germany) in February 2020. I grew my skills working for versatile clients and projects in the lottery and insurance industry.

Five years ago, I moved to Barcelona after falling in love with the city (and, yes, the great weather!) during my Erasmus exchange. Working 100% remotely for Sapiens, I learned to be proficient, while dealing with complex projects and strict deadlines.

I am working closely with cross-functional teams across continents, collaborating with product managers and developers. While Barcelona is currently home, I sometimes genuinely miss the fresh air, distinct seasons, and being closer to family, so I’m always open to the next professional challenge, wherever it is.

Why I Love UX Design

I consider myself a perfectionist who is always thriving to get better! For me, UX is the perfect match of problem-solving based on data and analytical thinking, transforming complexity into easy and efficient user experience. Paired with the creativity needed to make digital experiences visually aesthetic and engaging.

I’ve spent years taking complicated, often heavily regulated processes (like insurance backoffice logic) and breaking them down into solutions that simplify daily life. Ultimately, I believe UX design is about helping people make their daily lives easier, as our society is in steady contact with applications—and I love being the person who makes that contact intuitive.

As a Cluster and Team Lead, I now coordinate the full design lifecycle, ensuring transparent communication and high-quality solutions are delivered across cross-functional partners.

Free Time & Hobbies

That structural energy is balanced by a vibrant, empathetic side! I spend every free minute immersed in Cuban Salsa, both as a teacher and student.

My ultimate passion project is the full organization and leadership of two major Cuban Salsa Festivals in Hamburg and Lisbon. This is a heart project I do outside of my main job, where I’m responsible for everything: leading the entire festival planning, budget coordination, artist management, venue logistics, team leadership, social media, and design implementation. Honestly, running a festival isn’t so different from running a large-scale design project: both demand meticulous planning, clear communication, and ensuring everyone involved has a great, memorable experience.
